About Willow Counseling

Willow Counseling is more than a practice. It’s a soft place to land when life feels heavy. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you are anymore— you're not alone. So many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can't quite explain. They may be highly capable on the outside, but inside, they feel disconnected, burned out, or burdened by past experiences they haven't fully unpacked. This is a space for sorting things out, one layer at a time, with someone supporting you along the way.

My Approach

I specialize in helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, codependency, and relationship challenges— whether at home, in the workplace, or within themselves. Together, we create space to slow down, explore what's really going on beneath the surface, and begin the process of healing with intention.

I offer a calming, compassionate space where you don't have to "perform" or have it all figured out. My style is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing happens best in supportive, authentic connection. We'll move at your pace. Sometimes that means processing painful memories through EMDR. Other times, it means talking through patterns in your relationships or practicing new ways of relating to yourself with more gentleness and self-trust. My goal is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that are ready to heal.

Caity Gable, LSCSW, EMDR-C

✨ Voted ‘Best Counselor’ in Best of KC ‘24 ✨

I am a licensed therapist with more than a decade of experience working in mental health. I have specialized training in EMDR and trauma-focused care, and my work is rooted in interpersonal connection. Clients often describe me as calming, supportive, and down-to-earth. I bring my full self to this work— with warmth, curiosity, humor and a deep respect for your story.

Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me buried in a book, spending time at the lake kayaking, sharing laughs and moments with my family and friends, or trying (and usually failing) to keep up with my sweet doggo, Tater Tot.
